The Chamberlin Residence

We had a great time working on this project (except for the rocks we kept digging up)!  The homeowner had recently built a retaining wall on the hill behind the house and wanted to get more use out of the back yard.  We built a second wall to match the first, creating a level area for a patio.  The terrace between the walls became a woodland garden, featuring native plantings (and after much trial and error it is now deerproof!) that provides a natural transition to the woods beyond.  The front and side of the house had timber walls that were falling apart, so we replaced them with the same material that was used in the back.
